Marilyn Mosby, the former State's Attorney for Baltimore City, was born Marilyn James on January 22, 1980, in Massachusetts. Raised by her grandparents in Dorchester, Boston, Mosby went on to graduate from Boston University with a degree in political science and then earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Maryland School of Law.

Family Life

Mosby married Nick Mosby, an American politician and electrical engineer, in a religious ceremony in Boston in 2005. The couple welcomed their first daughter, Anylin, in 2009, and their second daughter, Nylyn, in 2014. Nick Mosby has served in various political offices, including as a member of the Maryland House of Delegates and as president of the Baltimore City Council.
